Well, here it is, the long awaited post-WGW blog! I decided to actually be a good girl this time and catch up on my uni work before blogging, instead of falling behind!

So, where to start. We went to Whitby on Thursday this time, and I drove Matt and Graeme. I must say, I thought I'd packed less than last time, but the car was still disgustingly full [and you've seen the size of my car!] so perhaps not.

We arrived mid afternoon and Matt and I unpacked whilst Graeme went to meet Mark, who was staying with us as we had a spare bed and ticket on offer. It was nice to meet him in person rather than through the medium of myspace comments and he was a really nice guy *whispers* and a bit sexy! [Sorry if you're reading this Mark, but it's true!]

We then went out on Thursday night to The Resolution to see Uninvited Guest. Now I'll be honest, I only really knew 'Devil's Toy Box' but they were absolutely amazing live! I had such a good night. The next day I bought one of their albums, 'faith in oblivion' and I've put the new album on my Xmas list!

We also bumped into Stu, Michelle, Hippy, Andy, Vicky, Carly, Daniel...and loads of other people we knew at the Res and it was an excellent night if a little packed.

Friday was a day of shopping! I bought some red and black Miss Needles hair falls, which was one of the things I was specifically looking for, so I was uber happy. I also bought a pink frilly plastic skirt [not pvc and not rubber, just...plastic] it sounds tacky and it probably is, but I love it to bits! I also bought a green cyberdog/allycat necklace.

Matt bought some glow sticks [dirty cyber mong that he is!] and a light-up t-shirt that responds to the music playing in a club!

We then met up with Stu and Katrina and did a bit more shopping, before heading to the Res for dinner. I absolutely adore the food in there, so it was super fun. After that, we went back to the cottage to get changed for the night out at the Spa.

That night, there weren't many bands of note, other than Voices of Massada that I really enjoyed and bought a Cd by. It was super cute actually cos they had a little goth girl (must have been about 9) helping them sell Cds on the stall and she was adorable and wanted to talk to me for ages. Bless her, she almost got me broody! I also had a bit of a chat with Voices of Massada's vocalist who seemed like a nice guy.

I also bought a couple of History of Guns CDs from the Out Of Line Records stand that Matt and I pretty much worship! Hehe. Matt bought a couple of Goteki albums and we got a few freebies.

I wanted to stay out late on Friday, but unfortunately my feet were in agony so Matt and I went back to the cottage and left Graeme and Mark to keep on partying.

Saturday was another shopping day, as well as a day of being stopped for pictures. I bought some pink goggles with an anime style girl and needle drawn on them that go perfectly with my new skirt. I also got a pink sparkley bracelet, some more CDs [Rotersand-Welcome to Goodbye & Heimataerde-Leben geben Leben Nehmen] and an amazing new coat from Spank. I also think the ladies at Spank pretty much loved me since I was wearing my pink stripey dress from there that day so I was basically free advertising!

We also bumped into Becky and Daniel, Boz, Keily, Jason, Linday & Rich, Shelly, Tori, Gemini, Janet, Phil, Jodie and loads and loads of other people including some mentioned earlier in the blog! Ahahaha, yes, I know a mental amount of people! [Sorry if I forgot you, but it was a very busy sleep deprived weekend!]

On the evening, Matt cooked dinner and we got ready to go out. Graeme was going out in drag and Mark and I managed to persuade him to go upstairs and shave his legs after he was already pissed on absinthe! Ahahaha, bless him! He did a good job, though, only one little cut and they looked pretty good.

Once we were all ready to go out, which I think took forever thanks to Graeme and I hehe, we headed to the Spa. We'd already missed the first band, unfortunately, but we enjoyed the rest of the night and I had a drink, in a bid to join in the party mood.

The Birthday Massacre were absolutely amazing! They were the main band we'd gone to see and I must say, they were well worth it! The vocalist is just so cute and bouncy and they sounded spot on all the way through!

Luckily due to my slight drunkenness, my feet didn't hurt so after the bands finished, we danced pretty much till the end [well, Mark, Graeme and I, Matt refused to dance!] where we had a slow wander back to the cottage.

As you can imagine, on Sunday we all felt a bit worse for wear, so the task of the day was to find Relentless. We finally did and bought the last 6 cans! Ahahaha. We then proceeded to work steadily towards a caffeine high whilst shopping. This led to Graeme buying a seal puppet [now called Amy, she's in my friends list] and then buying her a hat to wear! Fun times!

In the afternoon we met Becky and Daniel for tea and cakes! It was pure awesomeness. Tea and cakes are super fun anyways, but it was lovely to get chance to see Becky again properly. :)

After that, Matt and I went back to the cottage to pack and head home.

All in all, it was an awesome weekend! If I saw you and forgot to mention you then I do apologise! There's pictures in an album of their own on my myspace profile if you're interested.

Oh and this shall be ended with a disclaimer: Much to the horror of english students everywhere [myself included] this has not been proof read! *gasp* So apologies for any misspellings or incoherencies!
