I have made up the following flyer for casting a female role and i would like some female feedback about how appealing you think it might be to other females.
If I saw this flyer I would think to myself, "well, people tell me I'm attractive, but I'm probably not what they're looking for."
I don't even have low self-esteem (in fact, I think mine's pretty high compared to many girls I've met), it's just that it's been my experience that when an advert is looking for "attractive girls" that I don't fit the stereotype.
I would not answer the ad as you currently have it (and, it's perfectly possible that I'm not what you're looking for, but I'm just giving input here), not because I don't think that I'm attractive, but because I wouldn't feel like wasting my time. Generally ads looking for "attractive girls" are looking for a certain "type" of girl (think Scottsdale club crowd), and not a quirky, short, averagely-built, interestingly-styled girl such as myself.
To make the ad better, I would recommend picking specific features you are looking for (tall, short, average build, short hair, long hair, blonde, brunette, "girl next door", "intellectual look", etc.).
If you don't want to be that specific, then say "cute" or "quirky" or "sweet looking" instead of attactive. Then, add "comedic ability" as a necessary skill.
I dunno. Just my thoughts.
You could eliminate all the words relating to attractiveness all together, and just weed out the ones in auditions who don't meet your standards. It's not like you have to tell them why they weren't chosen. *shrug*
I think all the advice i have ben getting is pointing towards the conclusion that i should just eliminate the whole attractive thing all together. I am just gonna put Female Actress, and then do the weed-out thing in the auditions.
