Perspective hurts when it is so limited. It is a weakness and a crutch at a minimal level. Its the whole fat dumb and happy syndrome. Even those of us that wish to know, and wish to learn, though cannot afford to or do not wish to expirience on our own, are overwhelmed with contradictory evidence

What nation was that?
And which country is it that has the largest amount of weapons, and has used them to kill more people in the world than any nation in the history of man?
I really hate to get into this with you Chris. I know you feel differently than i do. I respect your ideals and your love for your country, and your call to protect your loved ones. I agree with all of those points. I think they are admirable, desirable, and wonderful.
What bothers me is that the current administration is using those exact ideals against us. The fears we all have are played on. The fear of insecurity. The fear of our loved onesbeing hurt or killed. The fear of someone breaching our homes and lives. Because we are scared, we are letting things such as the Homeland Security Act be passed, which allows our own government to do exactly what we fear, breach our lives and homes. Records are kept on every person in a large database.
We are told that there is an imminent threat in the world, that when pressed, cannot manifest themselves. We are distracted from the more imminent threats in the world, such as N. Korea (at the time of the war in Iraq) and Israel and Palestine. Sure they are in the news. There is news about what's really going on. But our focus is distracted by an ingenious administration that is definitely in CONTROL. CONTROL is POWER. This administration is definitely powerful.
