So last night, Ben & I went and sat among a theater full of fellow LOST fanatics, and watched the first new episode in 3 months. Let me just say, so close on the heels of the 3 month Summer hiatus, the Late-Fall/Winter hiatus was the worst ever! It reminded me of being addicted to cable shows and having to wait a full year to see the new season after major cliffhangers were introduced. NOT COOL!
Anyway, that's not the point anymore... the point is that in order to please their hardcore audience, Lost had to come back with a killer episode in order for people not to abandon ship, seeing as the first 6 episodes of Season 3 were not so stellar... I mean, there were good moments, but for the most part, it was BOOOOORRRIIING. In my opinion, they accomplished that goal.
I thought it was gonna be a Jack episode, but it turned out to be a Juliet episode, which was interesting. Fertility doctor? What exactly does this mean? Where are all the childrens? Who was that evil Dharma recruiter guy? Wasn't he on a soap opera in the 90s? Exactly how many actors from Deadwood and Carnivale are going to be on this show? Is this island where all the laid-off HBO actors go to die? The chick who plays Juliet used to have sex with Angelina Jolie. Think about THAT! What went wrong?
No, but seriously... that bus thing was fucking CLASSIC! I cheered when Juliet shot that duschbag who had it out for Sawyer for no apparent reason. That was super-sweet. I also loved how Kate was all *Jumps in front of Sawyer because she luffs him soooooo much, and screams NOOOO for the billionth time in two episodes*. That was cute. I really like Kate/Sawyer... they're so well-suited... Kate/Jack people are crazy... Jack is too good for Kate... sorry Kate.
What the hell is going to happen to Jack? He's the only Survivor on the Others' island now. CREEPY!
I'm glad Ben didn't die, for he is an interesting character.
Next week, I guess we'll see how everyone else is doing back on the Beachside Paradise. It really does look like the writers/producers are doing everything they can to keep people hooked, meaning the next 16 episodes could be really really fucking good, the way the 2nd half of Season 2 was really really fucking good.
I'm excited! *Claps hands enthusiastically*
