anxiety

starts in the stomach
with muscles stretching tight
travels to the heart
rhythm increasing

body then feels restless
like spontaneous combustion is imminent
every cell starts to vibrate
motion sickness sets in as
mind begins to spin

and the only cure?
I tell it to stop.
speak to the emotions
the mind and the will
and i tell them to get inline behind my human spirit
tell my spirit to follow the Holy Spirit
then invite Him to have His way
and to lead while I follow.

all relaxes
joy returns then
all is charged with the Powerful One within me
that is greater than that pushing in.
