I was going to write an entry about my last day of work at Pier 1. About how I've been with the company for nearly four years, and how it's really sad that I had to leave under such unjust circumstances. It's a complicated story, over a year in the making

Dear Pier 1,

You are all whores. Especially the manager-whores who lied to me about a "pending promotion" for two years, after which you removed my job title from your payroll. Enclosed, you will find a xeroxed copy of my first check from Panera Bread, inc., which has been cleverly cut into the shape of a penis. I invite you and anyone else at Pier 1, inc., especially in management, to go fuck themselves with this xeroxed copy of my first check, which you will notice is much larger than not only the paychecks I received from your company, but also your collective dicks.

I would have laminated the check to facilitate easier self-fucking, but I didn't want to remove the possibility of giving you some really wicked paper cuts. I've also voided the check routing number, signature, and other miscellaneous data so Pier 1 won't be able to try to cash the check. It's not that I don't trust you after a few years' worth of lies, it's just that I know you make a habit of taking as much as you can from your employees while offering as little as possible in return.
