our pumpkin carving party
early into the party some people carve their pumpkins before they eat.
ben's favorite part of the party was "playing with the guts". this incidentally is the first time in decades since steve carved a pumpkin.

joaquin really got the hang of trick-or-treating right away. and yeah....i NOW know that the chaps are all wrong. apparently they're supposed to protect the INSIDE of the cowboys thighs.
after the party we went to my parents so they could se the kids. the evidence is clear. joaquin was the official self-elected chocolate tester.
