Friday night I went to see Jonny Smokes perform at the Waterwheel in Ballard WA. I took my friend Tim along, and have created another Jonny fan. Which is Epically awesome. Saw George, he did a sit in set towards the end of the night. Took Tim home, came home myself. Since I had been gone a good chunck of the evening, I spent another hour on the couch till 3am with Mort since his mom (Ash) is out of town.
Saturday morning I woke up, got a little WoW time in (Woo is now lvl 44). Then I packed up and made my way in Giggitt to Vancouver, WA to see my Lovelies Jules and Ismarc. Was an interesting trip. Giggitt loved the open road, and I think is actually running a little better for the opportunity to stretch her 'legs'. Watched
Lucky Number Sleven which was confusing at first and just was completely awesome by the end. A movie in which Bruce Willis is not bloodied or dead by the end of it... WOO HOO.
I did have some of my usual, out of the house problems, not knowing entirely what the hell to do with myself, or talk about... I was on edge cause the cats were alone (I have unreasonable cat guilt). Talked a bunch to Ismarc and snuggled with the both of them then started the three hour drive back home Saturday night at about 11:30pm. I will say it was close, I did pull over and rest, but I will never make that drive at night again unless I've napped during the day. I forgot how exhausting night driving unfamiliar roads were. I was much better by the time I reached Seattle though dodging drunks at 2 am when I passed through wasn't the smartest thing ever.
I woke up Sunday morning at too damn early when Ash called to tell me she wasn't able to come home Sunday like we'd previously planned on (and why I drove back Saturday night). Airlines fucked up her flight and she dosen't get in till tonight.
So I spent the majority Sunday feeling very out of sorts and achey. Ended up going shopping and to the pet store Sunday, came back, forgot to eat, ate too much, watched the Princess Diaries and then crawled off to bed.
I have become addicted to a show on TLC called 'What not to Wear' - I wish they had this show 10 fucking years ago when I was first on my own and buying my own clothes so I would know how to dress my pudge... (yes that's right, they're not just telling sticks how to dress, they've got figured women 16s 12s etc in there). Now I look at my clothes and I start thinking 'wrong cut', 'no structure', 'jacket is too long'.........
Oh dear... not something new to OCD over... /sigh
Here is to this week being better than last week. Cause I really need it. I got a great start with my Lovelies time... this needs to continue
