So, on November 23, I wrote about the enlightening phone conversation I'd had about a month earlier with my mother, regarding the memoir I wrote about my father. It's a shame she's turned it into she said/she said, but I'm really glad this ISN'T 5 years ago and that you seem pretty Zen about it, all things considered. The truth is the truth, and no matter what that truth is, you've accepted your experience of it enough to share. Odds are quite high that your memoir will help to heal more than just you, which is a huge achievement you should be proud of.

It's too bad there isn't a way to go back and verify your memories. But at this point I think the way you're working to get past them is the most important.
