So, I just found out that the Gold's Gym that I "joined" doesn't open until this summer sometimes! Damnit! So, my great $24 find isn't really worth it and I'm super bummed. However, when we drove over that way this weekend to see if we could find out when it opened, I was kind of not really looking forward to the drive all the way down there. So, I did a gym seach since I knew that there's an L.A. fitness nearby and I was just wondering if there was anything else I just didn't know about. Well, I also found two other gyms: Infinity Fitness Center and Lifetime Fitness. We had seen this huge building that Patrick's mom asked about...I never even wondered what it was, but then one of the suggested it might be a gym...and it is! It also has an indoor swimming pool...and I think an outdoor one, too. Can I even tell you how stoked I am about this?? After looking farther into the LA Fitness page, though, it looks like they might have a pool, too. I'm not sure. However, both of these places have a guest pass you can print out...so I think I'm going to visit both of them. I have a feeling neither of them are going to be very cheap...especially Lifetime because from what I can tell, it looks kind of posh. There's also a health and fitness club at Verrado-Verrado is like, this upper class section of Buckeye. GARGATUAN houses, a golf course, a cute little "downtown" area...so I don't know if you have to live in Verrado to go there, and even if you don't have to, it might be a ton of money to join. I don't know...but I guess it's worth checking out since it's the closest and I believe also has a pool.
I'm so stoked about the pool! Although, I'm afraid that my fear of being seen in a bathing suit in public will hinder me, once again, from using the pool just like it did when I was in college. I dunno...but I really want to use it because I love swimming and it's just about the best exersize ever. Plus, if I'm paying big bucks to belong to a club, that's more of a motivation for me to go. I feel like I'm wasting money if I don't go...and I don't like to waste money!
Anyway, we'll see...I'm going to try to look into some of them this weekend possibly. Cross your fingers for me that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg!
