I've heard of Hostel but what is The Descent about?

Its about these cave explorers who get trapped and end up finding these Gollum like human hybrids who then try to kill them... I was more afraid of the creatures then the actual plot >.>

I was mixing it up with a similar plot where this group explores a temple. i think a mayan temple and stir up some ancient beast that try to kill them.
