Man, my job is so SILLY some days. I found this on the desk this morning when I first got to work.
Today was Hellish.
-We ran out of Espresso beans!
-So we had to pull individual bags off the shelf one pound at a time and mark them out, pour them in.
-Then we finally get ahold of a store that's willing to trade some Espresso Beans for some of our Eggnog. He drops it off. We load one machine quickly as cups/customers are becoming overwhelming I think as I pour "why do these beans look so dry" I look for the 1/4" marking on the bag and find it says dcf esp. FUCK. The guy dropped off One Reg. One Decaf. Who does this! We never said Bring An Entire Bullet Bag of Decaf! So one machine is down, un-useable til we can switch it. Cups are piling up and then the other machine decides to pull shots at 30 seconds! I'm ready to cry. I have one machine down and have to recalibrate the other in mere seconds. People get cranky without their drugs but surprisingly and THANK GOODNESS people were cool about it today. I still felt bad that they had to wait but...waiting a bit for good shots is worth it over paying 4-6 bucks for a bad drink, yes?
Got to have Craft Day with Courtney(tm) after work! That was nice and long overdue. We colored with Sharpies. Great tension breaker! Destroying a page with brilliant colors!
Now I just want my Electric Blanket and a Cocktail!
