Posting from the airport because they have free WiFi, which is really nice. The whole world should be equipped with free WiFi.
Thursday was my last day of work. They gave me a good review, although I don't really think I deserved it. I am so relieved to be out of there. A coworker made us all little owls out of painted river rocks as an end of season present.
One last small town story: (Background: We lived on the border between two counties. The largest town (where the sheriff's department is located) in the county we were technically in is about an hour away. The largest town in the other county is about 10 minutes away. This happened before I lived there.) A neighbor came home to find his house being burglarized. He was able to contain the thief and call the police. Police: Is anyone hurt? Neighbor: No. Police: Well, it will take us about an hour to get out to your home. Neighbor: Oh, never mind. I'll just shoot him. Ten minutes later he heard the sirens of the closer sheriff department's car.
