He stood by the wall of strange's main sanctum, trying not to mess with anything. The new costume had a lot of padding in it which made Clint really question how a women could have ever worn it before him. Clint had been very busy the past few months and so had Becca. Between new patients and surgeries, she was booked and didn't have time when he did or when she had time, he didn't. But somehow, they had made it work and they were still happy.

She was in the middle of filing some paper work, just stacked it nice and neatly in a folder. But as she stood, she heard Clint's voice from behind her and down went the folder, papers flying everywhere.

"Clint! You scared me. How..."

She walks over to him, a little confused.

"How did you get in here?"

Clint smiled.

"Long story short, I'm back at the doc's. I came to tell him he was right about the whole thing with....wanda."

Clint shook his head.

"Apparently they were having a meeting of the 'tony stark hate club' and convinced me to play with them. You like the new duds? I think black could become my color....if you know, I was bored."

Becca waves her hand through him and just shakes her head with a smile.

"You and your superheros with your futuristic inventions."

She takes a sip of her tea that rested on her desk as she nods, walking a circle around the projection of him.

"Very nice. Black just might be your color Mr.Barton. And, I am loving how tight it fits around your ass. We might just have to role play a little when you get back."

"No this is actually mystic from what I can tell. Though personally I've always been a fan of gadgets....not a fan of the guy who used to to supply me with those though."

Clint shook his head and then smiled at her.

"Hows my beautiful doctor?"

"Mystic, gadget...still something that doesn't exist in this world. Always find it fascinating though."

Becca starts to pick up the papers and stacks them together.

"Exhausted. I need a vacation."

She smiles up at him and then files the folder in her cabinet.

"How is my handsome superhero?"

Clint's grin turned into a bit of a frown as he finally fessed up to her.

"They killed him Becca, Captain America was shot. I lost my best friend, its half of the reason i'm trying to stop these guys from ripping each other apart."

Becca's hand lifted to her mouth as he spoke of his friend being killed. When he hurt, so did she. All she wanted to do was hug him, but she would fall right through him.

"Baby, I'm so sorry."

He shook his head.

"I could have been there Becca, I could have done what stark failed to do, protect him. The people they turned on him. What the hell is wrong with these people? And Tony, he's the worst. He offered me the shield, told me the world needed a captain america."

Becca had felt awful. She wanted to comfort him, but he wasn't really there to comfort.

"So, Tony wanted you to step up and be the new captain america? Just like that?"

"It was odd because then I had to protect the next generation of heroes from Tony because he wanted to arrest them. Kids becca, tony stark was going to arrest kids. One of them had my codename too, a girl. She reminded me of me when I was first left the circus. I left him a note telling him I would mail the shield back to him. Though maybe....I should have made sure it ended up in a safe place, he doesn't deserve to touch it."

Clint shook his head.

"Oh and now I'm stuck trying to make sure Spiderman and the rest of these new avengers don't tear each other apart."

He fiddles with the sword on his back.

"Hell, I don't even know who this belonged to."

"Kids? That's awful. What happened that he didn't do it?"

Becca runs a hand through her hair and overlooks the new outfit and then it really dawns on her.

"So why the new outfit again?"

"I told hem to get behind me and then leave, I held tony off from doing something stupid."

He looks down for a minute.

"Apparently a deaf women named echo was wearing it before me. And I was not ready to jump right back into being hawkeye after everything thats happened."

"Sounds like something you would do. You are a great man, Clint Barton."

Becca takes another sip of her tea.

"I understand. This isn't a bad choice in costume at all. I think it suits you."

She walks into the kitchen real quick to rinse her cup out before walking back into the living room.

"So when are you coming home?"

"Well after what those idiots had said, we are meeting back up in a day or two. So looks like I'll at least be home for a day. Fought some undead ninja's earlier, I need to wash up."

He smiled at her again.

"You'd figure with all those ninja's they must have an unbelievable health plan. Spidey thinks they have a good 401k."

"So that means I might get to see you tonight?"

Becca smiles, hoping that this was true. She had the rest of the night to just sit around and relax. It would be nice to share that with Clint.
