We just made a gumbo sort of deal for dinner. Tres tasty and spicy. I enjoy fresh okra a great deal, but for some reason this is the only dish I make with it. Perhaps I should attempt to rectify that some day. But it's so good! Next time I'm going to add some shrimp as well as andouille, though. A variety of meats is tasty.
I cast on last night for a tank top. I'm shortening the nightgown from Mason*Dixon Knitting. It's cute, simple, flattering, and made of a yarn I had in my stash. It was begging to be made, non? However, the linen yarn makes my hands sad to work with. We'll see how long it takes to finish.
I had intended to knit
Orangina while in Japan, which didn't get done. The lace in Orangina is the same as the nightgown, so I should have that down. I might use a different lace pattern, though. I'm betting I'll be bored with it by the time I'm done with the first garment.
I also finished my Guinevere shawl from Wrap Style. Even with knitting more than called for, I seem to have used much less yarn and ended up with a much smaller wrap. I'm thinking somewhere I missed out on something. It's plenty long enough, but seems too short to quite go all the way around. I'll admit that I've not yet blocked it, so perhaps that's where the difference lays. Or maybe I'm just bigger than the intended wearer.
