Well, I am home. I finished all my finals, turned in all my projects and papers, cleaned and packed my room, and managed to fit all my stuff in the back of a minivan (with the seats taken out). I seriously need to throw out a lot of stuff! Today begins the unpacking and sorting of everything I hauled home.
I spent this weekend hiking with my family and friends. Between Sunday afternoon's hiking with my family and Monday's hiking with my friends, I hiked 3 gorges and an estimated nine miles (as the crow flies; including the elevation changes, I hiked closer to 10!). It was fun, and I came back tired and sunburned. The parks we hiked were absolutely gorgeous, though! We started at Treman (
pictures!), then hiked Buttermilk Falls (
pictures!). Monday my friends and I went to Watkin's Glen (
pictures!). There was a lot more water at the parks than is shown in any of the pictures (none of which we took; I just looked them up on the net so you could see what I was talking about!). I love hiking! Actually, if I can get myself in good enough shape, I hope to take a semester-long course in moutaineering next spring. :-D
I am looking for a job, so I have enough money to buy a car before my off-campus internship next year. It's looking like I might get one working at the same place as my brother, but we'll see.
Umm... I need a nap. (The joys of summer!) My grades should come in today, but not all of them are posted yet. Patience... patience....
