You are somewhere in time ~
seeing words failing to describe,
sunset by the window,
a rose petal blooming with wet dew.
Sitting here as darkness arrives
birds flying in the indigo sky.

Under a morning star
across a field of long winding grass
child looks at the blue jays
amongst the birches.
The old banyan and the playground,
the path to the forest oak groves.
Sitting by the mangroves by the marsh,
an silver heron and a lazy egret.
The alligator dives down near the reed,
as the iguana make for cover.
High above the grass high windswept hills,
children flying kites.
Clouds passing, blue sky, sea gulls by the lake,
smile melts into the silence,
to return home, open the window,
linen curtains sway,
as he plays it away with his dreamy violin.
