Last night I watched "
a/k/a Tommy Chong." It's available on Showtime On Demand. I highly recommend everyone watch it, whether you're a pothead or not. This isn't really about smoking pot, or legalizing marijuana. It's about how some bitch in PA got power-hungry and misused our government resources to target a man who really did no harm to anyone - he just sold glass bongs. I'm ashamed (once again) to live in PA. I'm ashamed of the US federal government for being so ridiculous and frivilous. There are REAL criminals out there; why make such an effort to take down an online store that otherwise sold bongs legally to all other states? They also completely made a mockery of the 1st ammendment, citing "Cheech and Chong: Up In Smoke" as a reason for the set-up.
See this film. It will open your eyes.
We have much less rights and priviledges in this country than we are led to believe.
and, I have updated my website:
Not that this should take a backseat to my being appalled at this Tommy Chong stuff (which, I knew about when it happened, years ago, but I never got the details that the film provided, I just knew what my dad told me - I was disgusted then too,) but
Dark Star Orchestra was PHENOMENAL on Wednesday night. I have to say the "Alligator" was the highlight of my night. and the "Eleven." But the whole thing just blew me away. and "death don't have no mercy" was quite an emotional moment. Dave, Turbo, we fuckin miss you guys.
