Jesus, it's like I forgot this thing existed.

For those of you who may have wondered, I'm still alive. Changed jobs last Wednesday, which was in itself pretty stressful but I'm looking forward to life as an SHO and having people to boss about. I'm now doing Neurology at the Southern General, which is such a culture shock considering I've just come from XH. Whereas my last job was pretty much like Grey's Anatomy (with the mad running around, early starts and colleague, ahum, fraternisation) this one is pretty like House. Seriously- we sit about a Whiteboard in the morning and discuss the odd symptoms of patients X, Y and Z and then have several cups of tea. We also run the acute stroke service which allegedly has the highest rate of stroke thrombolysis in either Scotland, the UK or Europe (I forget). Needless to say I have to get much better at reading CTs, and quickly.

I'm really missing the XH already, though. I know it's stupid, but the people I work with became like family and we're all going through a bit of a forced separation. Nights out are being planned to try and stop the withdrawal symptoms.

I have also procured a ticket for this, which looks awesome. After T in the Park this year I've been in the mood for more festival action, and this one looks pretty chillaxed. I'm very much looking forward to seeing 2 Gallants, The Divine Comedy, Regina Spektor and Modest Mouse. I'm just hoping I'll be able to fit them all in! Going with the XH girls and boys, but if anyone fancies picking up a ticket and joining in you'll be most welcome. Fingers crossed no rain please.

Back at home full time with the maw and paw, and unsurprisingly looking for a flat with the Pez again. meamna and I saw a pretty promising one today, but I'll keep you updated.
