Round up the usual suspects

Seen around on the friends' list, the "Progress, What Progress?" WiP meme.

Percy Weasley: Rogue Demon Hunter (Harry Potter)
Percy: Things are about to get really exciting!
Ginny: So you keep telling us.
Harry: Gin, your hotness makes me incredibly cranky for some reason...
Ginny: Yeah, I've noticed.
Celia: I'm in rather a lot of trouble. Would someone mind -- oh, I don't know -- saving me at some point!?

Riddles of the Sphinx (Harry Potter, set in the Dreamwalk Blue universe)
Minerva: People are going to see that twist coming a mile away, you know...
OMC: I'm rather dashing though, aren't I? That should count for something...
Minerva: You are, aren't you? Especially with all the archeology and the treasure hunting, and the rather fetching hat... I suppose I'll have to take what I can get, won't I?
Tom Riddle: Come along, my dear. That mysterious artifact isn't going to steal itself, now is it? Have I mentioned that you look just like a girl I once knew...?
Minerva: Oh, hell.

Iteration (Star Wars EU)
Mara: How is it possible that I'm ostensibly the main character of this thing, and yet I only ever appear in flashback?
Karrde: To be fair, they are sexy flashbacks.
Luke: In a mostly icky kind of way, though... I feel vaguely unclean.
OFC: I'm sort of worried that no one is going to read this thing because of me. I mean, I'm kind of awesome... but isn't that usually the problem with OCs in the first place?
Karrde: Well, I don't like you. So... there's that, I guess?
OFC: True. You're kind of a glorious bastard in this, though.
Luke: And how. You broke my jaw!
Karrde: Yeah, I did. You're officially the worst Jedi ever.

Romeo and Ethel the Pirate's Daughter (Star Wars EU)
Mara: This thing veers wildly from romantic farce to action-adventure to high melodrama and back again, with no real linear plot. I hope you know that.
Me: Well, it's more thematic than strictly plotty...
Mara: No, it's you trying to work through how badly mishandled you thought my characterization was after The Last Command... anyway you can.
Me: Well, okay. That's true. I was a teenager when VOTF came out, it had a big impact on me. It hurt my feelings!
Mara: Your feelings...?
Me: It ruined the first beautiful spring day of 1998! I had a new bikini and a sugar-free skinny vanilla latte...
Mara: ...and the book hidden behind a Danielle Steel dustjacket so no one on campus would know what you were reading...
Me: Hey, Palomino is a decent read compared to Darksaber.
Mara: On second thought, you may have a point...
Me: I was so upset I had to eat my feelings with a second latte.
Mara: You poor dear.

The Geek Rock Series (LGM)
Byers: Hey! We're all fully-realized three-dimensional characters in this, instead of ridiculous prat-falling one-liners. Good job... and thank you!
Me: Sweet!
Frohike: However, kitten... There is the matter of the plot, or lack thereof.
Me: There's sort of a plot. Kind of. I mean, I was only just learning to do the whole episodic thing when I started this, so...
Jimmy: Ow.
Me: Oh, yeah. Sorry about that. I love football, and I love angst. So... buckle up?
