I'm making slow but steady progress on the Alphabet Challenge Ficlets. This one is Dr. Who, set sometime roughly between The Doctor Dances and Boomtown.

Yay! I'm glad you liked it. :) I'm sure it's been done before, but I couldn't resist sending them to meet the Daniels family. (I mean, come on, the show has canonical references to the Titanic and characters named Jack and Rose. It's begging for the meta.)

That wasn't necessarily a specific reference to the movie, though Leonardo DiCaprio does get socked in the face a lot in it. :) The sketchbook, though, was totally a shout-out to Titanic.

Oh, good! I'm so glad to hear that. One of the things that has made me go, "Eh, maybe not..." about writing this particular show is the dialects. Holy hannah. I'm from the U.S. West coast (a people known for abusing our 'dudes', 'likes', ways' and 'whoas'). ;) Half the time I have to run the Tivo back to figure out what the Doctor and Rose are actually even saying. During the second ep, I was like "'Deep South'? Are they talking about Mississippi?" Whoops.
