This fic was originally written for the 'They Call Me Spooky' Halloween Challenge, but I missed the deadline by about, oh, two weeks.

Title: The Veiled Lady
Fandom: The X-Files
Summary: Set during Season 2, Mulder and the Lone Gunmen spend the night in a haunted cemetery.

Oooh, that was outstanding. Perfect characterization, great story, awesome original characters. I love Byers and Scullyless!Mulder. Yay! :D

I'd be interested - is this a fic that's being posted as a WIP, or an unposted one? I never actually saw the Lone Gunmen series, I'm afraid, though, if it references that very much?

It's a WiP that I'm posting to my LJ as I go. Then, hopefully, editing and posting more widely. :) It does draw from the LGM series, but it's an AU so I play pretty fast and loose with the canon. The major thing I reference is the series pilot, which features a plot about terrorists trying to crash a plane into the World Trade Center in New York.

If you're game, the fic is here. I've got the prologue plus two chapters posted currently, with a third being posted (probably) this weekend.

YEAH DG! haha the pi phis at my school are on probation/had their formal cancelled because they sent seven new pledges to the hospital... yikes.

i'm on summer vacation and have been looking for things to read before work + shadowing physicians + mcat prep start, but yours are still the best, i'm afraid. way to raise the bar way up. :] hope all is well!

I'm so glad you still like the stories. :) I want to get back into writing some fic. I spent the last quarter working on a huge creative writing project for a grad class, so I haven't had any time/creativity to spare... but I'm hoping that will change this summer!
