Summary: Sometimes, Atsuki wonders why he allows himself to become attached to every single one of his friends.

Rationalizations
To anyone, the drama and the violence and the telepathic powers and the tangled webs that Atsuki's friends have to offer is best left ignored.
And so, sometimes Atsuki wonders why he allows himself to become attached to every single one of them. Rui's the one who can see a person's past and future and delve further into people's minds better than others--and that terrifies him at times, considering the mission given to him. Akira's always threatening something or somebody and is always getting into trouble, causing more worry than Atsuki can handle sometimes. The one who always feels alone is Yayoi, and she needs to be reassured constantly, and Ryo doesn't know how to stop talking about history and books to those who simply just don't care. Shinji only seems to pay attention to his computer and his hacking abilities, and Mika is almost like a stalker, as she seems to know everything about everybody.
Still, when he looks past all of this, he realizes that they're the ones who bring out the best in him. They're the ones who make him feel real, the ones who make him feel like he actually has a heart and true feelings and a home and a life actually worth living.
And that is what brings a smile to his face everyday. That is what causes him to return to them everyday.
