No Vengeance
When Hibiki ends up in a coma for weeks and is hospitalized by people who check up on him way too often, it's all that Atsuki hears about in Kisaragi City, because everyone adores the new transfer student.
When Liu is unconscious for what seems like forever and is in the hands of someone who is probably too busy to take care of him properly, Atsuki hears almost nothing about it, because no one but him seems to care.
And Atsuki knows that if it were him in Liu's position, Liu wouldn't accept any of this. He knows that Liu would go and destroy Hibiki entirely for causing him to be in such a condition, for forcing him to be so close to death every single second. Liu would go and watch those who expressed their worries and admiration fall to piece and not give a damn, because Hibiki doesn't deserve any of it at all.
Atsuki also knows that he can't do any of this for Liu. It would destroy everything they've worked so hard to do, and perhaps then the mission to destroy SILENT would never be completed. Instead, he has no choice but to keep quiet and listen to those who fear for Hibiki while wondering how Liu is doing, wherever he is. Instead, he has no choice but to let it all happen and hope that Liu can understand and forgive him someday for doing nothing at all.
