This is too much, because he can't help but wonder--
Why hasn't Libby come to him? She's had infinite chances since the second her heart stopped beating. Isabella's been dead for years and takes the first chance she gets to ease her lover's prolonged mourning.
He doesn't care about their tragic history. He stops translating, looks away, pretends he's seeing Libby instead.
"Is she gone?" Richard finally asks, voice quivering.
"Yeah," Hurley lies, quick to bring him to the same level of heartbreak.
She'll never be gone. But it's the best thing he's said in a long time.
