To move or not to move .....

Am on the way to the office on bus number 2 as usual....

Why wouldn't passengers take the inner seat? Is it more comfortable sitting along the aisle?

Sitting along the aisle itself is not really a problem - as long as the person either (a) moves in to the inner seat and give up the aisle seat to the new passenger , (b) turns his/her feet out towards the aisle to provide ample space for the new passenger to pass through to the inner seat or (c) stand up and move out temporarily to let the new passenger move in to the inner seat.

But there are always exceptional cases where above actions are not conducted which will result in - the new passenger trying to walk horizontally passed either back facing or frontal facing the current passenger sitting along the aisle. This is more difficult for elderly and 'bigger' folks.

It is already annoying enough to be doing this horizontal shuffling ... The LAST thing the new passenger will like to hear is any sound made by the current passenger which indicate annoyance ... U know that kind of a short sound that sounds like 'ziiiiiiiiiii' , made by pressing your teeth together and moving in your tongue?

Haiz... I still don't get it ... Why would people act this way.... Its ok to sit along the aisle leaving 50% of the seat unoccupied, but if there are incoming passengers, it's only polite to give way....

By the way, I'm just rattling on this issue I saw on the bus when I was boarding just now. It did not happened to me :)

Ok I'm at eunos now..... Another 20 mins to reach office :/

Have a great day everyone
