On suicide. I believe that no man ever threw away life while it was worth keeping.

The great golden vacation has arrived, I discovered a third cause for Nausea other than Existence, and I'll return to writing proper posts in time to come. Real soon. Here's list of books that I'll buy and complete over this vacation.

The Unbearable Lightness of Being - Milan Kundera
No One Belongs Here More Than You: Stories - Miranda July
Existentialism and Humanism - Jean Paul Sartre
Thus Spoke Zarathustra - Fredrich Nietzsche
The God Delusion - Richard Dawkins
A Treatise of Human Nature - David Hume
Jesus of Nazareth - Pope Benedict XVI
Grotesque - Natsuo Kirino

I was buying books at Borders today. I bought The Great Gatsby for my younger brother since he didn't choose any book in particular over the phone and "No books on philosophy please." Hahaha. We met later in the day, then I mentioned that actually I wanted to get him another book instead of this novel on love, which was The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Because he didn't want anything philosophical, and I told him that its a rather dark and profound novel based on the philosophy of Nietzsche that triggers one to question his own beliefs, to doubt substantially and incline one towards atheism. I just thought he wasn't mature enough for that yet.

"But its good what, this kind of books will improve my faith", he retorted.

That was the indication I needed that I should reassess my assumption of things. My younger brother has reached that mature state of thought that I doubt he'll reach in any time during his adolescence. And that I shouldn't have inhibited and prevented him from reading material that questions his faith, I didn't want to expose him to that yet for fear that he might lose his faith. Like a strict parent's refusal to let his child to be independent and send them to find out life themselves, which is not right at all and I'm against it for its relatively negative child upbringing in their formation. Despite the fear of uncertainty, we should let them go out and expose to them the "real" world. And my brother finally see the way that I see it too. That atheistic ideas and thoughts eliminates and forces one to die to his old faith, only to be born into a new faith in God.

Alright, its time to write new music with the acoustic.

"Beauty is no quality in things themselves. It exists merely in the mind which contemplates them." -David Hume

Note: I was born on the same day as David Hume!
