First ever tutorial! I'll probably use this one as a base in a future icon, but I hope this basic tutorial helps any of those fledgeling icon makers who are just starting out like I was.I took the image from _tehcaps, cropped it, and resized it.

i looked exactly like the original. lol.

see my problem is that i don't know how to use photoshop very well. i'm a paintshop person..and when i use photoshop..i get all confused and mixed up. lol.

I totally know how that goes. I had PSP for a long time, with Animation Shop, and I got used to using that. But then one of my friends gave me PS7, so I got rid of PSP, and started using PS7. Except I still haven't figured out ImageReady, so nothing that I have made has been animated. One of my friends is going to show me how to do it, hopefully.

I know how the transition period is, though. They're both basically the same thing, done different ways. Good luck with PS!
