Crazy Obsession of the Week: I heart Joel and MST3K
So I grew up watching Mystery Science Theater 3000; not on a regular basis, but I knew the premis. I knew the characters, and I thought the show was hilarious. We rented the movie on more than one occasion. As anyone who knows me well knows, I tend to jump from obsession to obsession. Last two months, it was back to Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. Before that, Hello! Project. And before that, Spaced. My main focus, my flavor of the week so to speak, is back at MST3K. I get into phases where I'll watch a bunch of episodes on youtube, get burnt out on it, and then wait 6 months or so before I watch more. The last time I had this phase was in November; before that, in February '07.
So the point of this ramblation? This is the first time I've watched the episodes and noticed how flippin HAWT Joel Hodgson and Mike Nelson are....er.....were. How HAWT they WERE 20 years ago...you know its fairly normal for one to fall in love with a fictional character, but what are the rules on people at an earlier age? (They're both old and kinda fat now) if only I was 21 in 1991...
Anyway, I got booooored and decided to make some icons or something in the GIMP because I'm awesome like that. The problem is though, finding good MST3K pictures on teh intarwebs is quite a feat. And I hate icon making because it always seems like the icons I'm making are smaller than 100x100, so its difficult to cram everything in. And the GIMP sucks sometimes. But I digress. I wish I had more pictures of the Bots. I decided that if I ever get two more kittens, I'm going to name them Crow and Tom Servo.
I love the fact that Joel is using Tom Servo's head as a coffee pot in the last one...you can't really tell it though, or the fact that they're wearing robes and PJs. Not sure if that was a host segment or just a promo picture...I wish I knew.

yeah...I hate ite when people don't

Depends...when I'm around friends, I tend to talk more and try to make people laugh

not really D: one time my friend was trying to give me a compliment but he was like doing this hand gesture thing (it wasn't obscene, in case you are wondering) and I thought he was having a seizure xD

no
6. If abandoned in the wilderness, would you survive?
depends...deciduous forest, I've got that covered no problemo. We'll see otherwise.
7. Do you like to ride horses?
I love to, but haven't in ages. I have a friend who owns several horses, but she never invites me to go horseback riding :(
8. Did you ever go to camp as a kid?
No. I kind of feel like I missed out on something! (me too!)
9. What was your favourite game as a kid?
whatever me and my friends made up. Also; baseball. I played on the town team for awhile :)
10. If a sexy person was pursuing you, but you knew he/she was married, would you go for it?

11. Could you date someone with different religious beliefs than you?
I think so, only so long as those beliefs didn't make me change my own

some do, depending on what mood I'm in

my shoes, and if I could, my purse. Maybe I would grab Lappy first if it was around...since it has all my pictures and stuff on it
