“I still can’t believe it.” Leeteuk complained to Yesung while they were sitting around the kitchen table. “He still hasn’t admitted it to us!”
Yesung nodded and took a sip from his ‘shake’.
“Do they really have to say anything?” Hangeng asked. “It’s not like we can’t smell what they’re up to. “
Leeteuk pouted.
“I want to hear him say it!” Leeteuk grumbled. “I want him to admit it to me!”
“Why?” Yesung tilted his head in question.
Leeteuk stared at him in disbelief.
“So that I can tell him ‘I told you so!’ of course!” Leeteuk exclaimed.
Hangeng sighed and shook his head in mock despair.
“Some things never changes.” Hangeng said mournfully to Yesung.
“Nope, I’m still waiting for Sire to walk in, grab their ears and grounding them.” Yesung said dreamily.
Hangeng nodded.
“Those were the days.” Hangeng said longingly.
Just then Kangin walked into the kitchen and sat down on the empty chair beside Hangeng and promptly grabbed his coffee cup, finishing its content in one go.
Kangin let out a deep sigh in contentment.
“I love coffee.” Kangin said happily.
“It doesn’t do anything for you.” Hangeng pointed out.
“True, but it’s still the nectar of the Gods, and I am a true worshipper.” Kangin said haughtily.
Yesung and Leeteuk threw a couple of napkins at him and booed. Hangeng rolled his eyes and slapped the back of Kangin’s head.
“You’re so full of it.” Leeteuk said.
“Takes one to know one.” Kangin sing sang.
Yesung’s head thumped against the table. His brothers could be at it the rest of the night if nothing more important turned up. He didn’t need his gift to tell him how it would turn out.
A freshly showered Sungmin took one look at the people sitting in the kitchen before he went to the fridge and grabbed a shake for himself and one for Kangin. He put them in the microwave for a couple of seconds just to get the right temperature.
“Here.” Sungmin said and held one out to Kangin.
Kangin took it without stopping his arguing with Leeteuk. Sungmin quietly drank his shake while exchanging exasperated glances and grimaces with Hangeng. One would think that after a couple of centuries the two vampires would have tired of bickering with each other.
“Kill me now.” Yesung muttered, his voice muffled by the table.
“Sorry.” Sungmin said. “Ryeowook would have my head on a platter if I did.”
“Yeah, I like my head where it is.” Hangeng added. “Even though it might look pretty good mounted on a wall.” He said thoughtfully. “At least then I wouldn’t have to listen to those two.”
“I bet they would argue right under your stuffed head.” Yesung muttered.
“They would, wouldn’t they?” Hangeng groaned.
“There is no rest for the wicked.” Yesung saidsadly.
“Where is Ryeowook?” Sungmin wondered.”He could probably make them stop.”
“He’s babysitting one of Kibum’s grandchildren.” Yesung said.
“WHY DON’T YOU JUST ADMIT IT?” Leeteuk shrieked.
Yesung, Hangeng and Sungmin all flinched in surprise at their leader’s outburst. Kangin gave Leeteuk an annoyed glare.
“What are you babbling about now? I always tell you things and as far as I know I have never not told you anything.” Kangin said haughtily.
Leeteuk took a calming breath.
“About 30 years ago I gave you an order, remember?” Leeteuk said in a calm voice.
“Since you usually give me a couple of orders each night you better be a little bit more specific.” Kangin said, an amused smile playing on his face.
Seemingly without thinking Kangin held out his arm towards Sungmin and pulled him close. Leeteuk waved his hand at them.
“That!” Leeteuk exclaimed. “I told you to find a companion, remember?”
Kangin just stared at him. “And?” He asked.
“Why can’t you just admit it that you and Sungmin are lovers?” Leeteuk said sounding extremely exasperated.
“But I did.” Kangin said, looking a bit confused. “I sent you a memo, I think about 15 years ago or something like it. It’s not my fault if you didn’t read it.”
Leeteuk opened his mouth. Not a sound came out.
“Nice.” Yesung said in bliss. “It’s finally quiet.”
Hangeng nodded. “Maybe we should have told him about it sooner?”
Leeteuk’s mouth snapped shut and he turned towards Yesung and Hangeng.
“You knew?” Leeteuk said in a dangerous quiet tone.
“You were having so much fun being annoyed at Kangin-“ Hangeng said apologetic. “-we didn’t really want to ruin your fun.”
“I’ll give you five seconds.” Leeteuk said, but he was talking to two empty chairs. “When I get my hands on them!”
Kangin chuckled and pulled Sungmin onto his lap and they kissed tenderly.
“Does this mean I finally can kiss you and hold your hand in Leeteuk’s company?” Sungmin asked, an eyebrow raised and the humour in his voice could clearly be heard.
Kangin laughed. “Yes it does.”
A thud and scream was heard. Both Sungmin and Kangin winced and Kangin pulled out his phone.
“I guess we’ll need a carpenter.”
There was another crash and then Zhoumi’s and Siwon’s enraged voices could be heard and then more crashing noises.
“I don’t think one will be enough.” Sungmin murmured.
Noises of yapping and running werewolves could be heard.
“You’re right. A real estate agent is what we need.” Kangin said.”I’ll miss this house though.”
Sungmin nodded. “Yes, but think about all the fun we can have in the new one.” Sungmin gave Kangin a meaningful glance and a playful nudge. “All the new rooms we’ll have to explore. “
Kangin laughed and ruffled Sungmin’s hair playfully. “Down boy! We won’t be able to buy a new house right away, but how about you and I head up for some practice?”
Kangin wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. Sungmin stood up with a giggle and cute small blush graced his cheeks.
“Race you!” Sungmin said before taking off.
Kangin smirked as he watched Sungmin’s well-toned behind disappear out of the kitchen, he drank the last of Hangeng’s coffee and then he too was gone from the kitchen.
