"they crawl from the oceans to paint in the caves. But I'm working all weekend, I need to get paid."

That quote is possibly my favourite song lyric of all time. A concise version of human history; we've come so far, achieved so much, and for what? So we can be exploited just to keep the wheels turning? We invented the fucking wheel. It seems so wrong to me.

Idk, I'm probably just pissy because I work 10 hour shifts with nearly no break just to earn £4.20 an hour. And I like to blame all my annoyances on capitalism. In this case though, I might actually be justified!

It really amazes me that people don't agree with socialism. People earning a fair wage, having access to affordable housing, free healthcare and education (vastly improved in fact because billions of pounds could be rediverted from illegal wars and nuclear weapons to fund them), equality regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, class, sexuality; really, what's not to like?

But there you go.

Anyway, I'm aware that the two people who read this blog don't want a political rant every time I post. So, what have I done with the past few weeks?
Half term was very nice indeed; started the week off with some heavy drinking and naked cycling at the Aid's party. Then GAMMOOOOOON drove me all the way down to Portsmouth so I could see my lovely boyfriend, where I stayed until Friday. I enjoyed being able to sleep all day whilst he was at lectures :p and seeing him of course.
I worked all weekend, then went back to college on Monday. Fun times, right?
Now I'm putting off my sociology coursework, which has to be in tomorrow. FUCK FUCK FUCK. I guess I had better go and finish it :(
