The jumbled mass of wreckage in front of the battleship USS Pennsylvania constitutes the remains of the destroyers USS Downes and USS Cassin, bombed by the Japanese during the raid on Pearl Harbour. The ships were in drydock. The torpedo-damaged cruiser USS Helena is in the right distance, beyond the crane.
