Question about posing in threes

Sep 23, 2010 09:06

Here's a question for you (no photo, alas). I'm reading a book called "London Lore (the legends and traditions of the world's most vibrant city)" by Steve Roud. A well-known London funeral director published a book in 2004 about death superstitions. One, which originated probably when photography became more accessible to ordinary folk (my time theory, anyway) is that if three people are photographed together, the one in the middle will be the first to die. I'll be curious to look at the older photographs in this group to see how many groupings of three there are. Totally unscientific but fun. :-)
