alrighty... so ive uploaded the practice runs for my wedding hair...
by the way, I made that guest book =)
ok.. so here is my first try..
i originally wanted to go for a Rita Hayworth 'do.. but my hair wasnt growing in fast enough to have even layers. And when it finally did.. i had practiced my actual wedding 'do too many times to ditch it. but i liked it.
2nd attempt.. done with a curling iron.. which took forevvvvverrrr.
i have a lot of hair and plus it doesnt like to stay curled so i had to curl like 1/2in squares and then pin and yea. i was going to pin back all of one side...
one side pinned at the ear... like Jane Russell
and the final practice... after a haircut and achieved with sponge rollers overnight with light misting of bumble & bumble styling lotion spray on each dry section.
i figured a sponge set would last me a lot longer and plus i wouldnt have to wake up super early to get that shit right.
the bottom was a bit damp and fell
and my mom:
practice run with black hat:
without the hat:
ivory hat:
and guess how much those hats cost me.... along with with like 8 others i bought at an antique store... they ranged from $4-$10. cool huh?
after i came home from our honeymoon I gave myself bangs:
which were shortlived...
and now unfortunately i have cut all my hair off.. kinda.. its back to the mullet again..:
and this is the only thing close to "vintage" looking I can get it:
haha
but i do have a bunch of fingerwave clamp contraptions that I am wanting to try out... so maybe i shall be posting more.
otherwise I will remain envious as you lovely ladies post your gorgeous vintage 'dos =)
