This photo of Clara Bow (miraculously without her trademark flapper make-up)was posted in the vintagephoto community today, and I realized, for the first time, that this is how my Grandmother still does her hair, and has pretty much her entire life. She is in her late eighties, so I imagine Clara was at the height of her It-dom around the time my grandmother was learning to set her hair as a girl. I need to scan in a recent photo.
