hair creme/lotion?

i was going back through old posts and noticed someone mentioned home recipes for hair creme or lotion, but didn't list them. that got me to thinking (i am new to the curly side of things) what cremes do you ladies use to set your curls, and how do you use them? if you make them yourselves, post a recipe! i'd really like to find a good one that ( Read more... )

I heard you could set your hair with beer, or sugar and water. However, I simply use strong hold mousse, since I can't find setting lotion, and it owrks very well.

i know some punks who recommended sugar and water, but also frozen yogurt... but i imagine that's more useful for really stiff sets...like a gel...

i haven't found a lotion or creme i'm prepared to commit myself to just yet

I've been using Rusk Str8. It claims to be an "anti-frizz, anti-curl lotion" but it's not. Maybe that's just because my hair is so naturally curly, though.
