A couple years ago I was in the humor section of Barns and Nobles and cam across this book. I honestly thought it was a vintage cook book at the time, but as i examined it i realized it was the author coming to grips with the way things were in the "good old days". Took a peek at the product page.... Ketchup Pistachio Cake. I have no words for how downright funky that sounds. I mean, I'm sure that someone, at some time, must have thought it tasted good, but.... wow.

OH! I've read that book cover to cover, and it's amazing. I love the gelatin molds that have gobbets of hamburger floating in bloody-looking aspic. What were they thinking???

I have this book!!!! I love it! It has got to be one of the funniest things ever. I think the author has his own website where he does much of the same to other 'regrettable' recipes. =D
