Where Am I Goin', I Don't Know
Road trip!
My alarm is set for 4am. We'll get up, throw coffee into the thermos, toss food in the cooler, and shove the last few items into the pre-packed Jeep.
Then we'll be on our way.
We're not 100% certain where we're going, but we'll head toward Death Valley. Red Rock Canyon and the Mojave preserve are down that way, and we'll also be passing King's Canyon. Any of these might draw our attention.
I'm also armed with some 4wd trail books, picked up at Any Mountain for a scant few dollars each. Book sales are Good Things.
The tent and camping schtuff is coming with us, natch, and also Boyfriend's new propane camp stove/grill. I'm excited to have bacon and eggs in the morning, and coffee, without having to start a fire. Plus, backcountry camping in DV forbids the use of firewood, and frowns on (but permits) charcoal, and prefers camp stoves.
Boyfriend is bringing his new camera, a Nikon D60 that his stepbrother sold him. It's capable of stupendous photos, I can't wait to see what he ends up with.
Today:
-Laundry
-Oil change
-Clean Jeep
-Remove back seat
-Pack Jeep
-Prep/stage the last minute stuff to pack in the morning
-Set coffeepot
-Sleeeeeep.
