Well, not too long ago I was still yelling at the board of 875 W. 181st for having kept my application hostage without ever seeing us. And only 2 months after handing that package in, they finally did. And it only took them two more days before they finally confirmed that they're allowing me in.
So, I have an apartment! It's very exciting. I get to move into my lovely 100 year old building with its parquet wood floors, various wall moulding, claw-foot tub, and high ceilings.
Just as soon as the owner gets his stuff out and can settle on a closing date. Given how long it took him to do anything about accepting the offer and get moving on the contract this may take another two months. On one hand I'm impatient to get in. On the other it's probably another three months before I start getting paid again, so I wouldn't mind having that much less maintenance to pay. And of course I have to get the work done in the bathroom before I can actually move in. No good living in a place when you can't shower or use the toilet.
