My internship is going well so far. I have ridiculous amounts of down time since I work between two people who constantly disappear during the day, and internet research for potential sponsors and workforce development training companies does not 9:00 to 17:00 require.
Got myself the day off from my internship today, due to the office closing early since tomorrow is the fourth and I would have had to leave early for an appointment at a hand surgeon anyway.
I apparently have the beginnings of a mild case of Cubital Tunnel, which is apparently the lesser known step-brother of Carpal Tunnel. Where Carpal Tunnel affects the thumb, pointer and middle finger, Cubital Tunnel affects half of the ring finger and the pinky. There may already be some nerve damage, because my left hand grip is weaker than my right hand and I'm supposed to be a lefty - but the doctor didn't seem too eager to rush into any nerve tests or surgeries, which I'm pleased about.
But anyway.
Mom came with me to the appointment since she sees the same doctor, and we had lunch in the Time Warner building. I then got sidetracked at Borders XD;;
Jon came in from Long Island and he, my dad and my uncle went for dinner at Dim Sum Go Go, which despite the name continues to have fantastic food. For the four of us I think our whole meal was $40. I love China Town.
