Weekend Event: Birth Year
1953 was a paranoid year and this film's plot features undercover anti-Communist hijinks in the Air Force when Slip and Sach unwittingly (were they ever wittingly?) enlist. Every entry in this lowbrow series features something funny in its average 65 minute running time. Slip and Sach remain the series' stars with the rest of the Bowery Boys, Chuck or Whitey or Butch, around to populate the scene and do reaction shots. That was about it on their parts, because humor from Slip's malapropisms and Ssch's goofy face and the pair's synergistic slapstick made the whole show. Loved this series!
