Contest Starting TOMORROW!!! + Upcoming events!!
It's December (what? Where the hell did the year go?!) Christmas/Holiday ads are welcome any time!
Our December contest starts TOMORROW (Monday) with the theme of CREEPY KIDS!
Rules
1. You must at least put 'contest' in the subject or I won't tally votes for the entry.
2. Print or video ads are fine.
3. All vintage ads rules apply EXCEPT only one ad per entry is allowed.
4. VOTING (yes the bane of contests for me): Voting is via a YES in the comments. I can only count a YES as a vote, as I must be fair to everyone. You can say that you like the ad, you can say it's beautiful, you can even discuss Aunt Ethel's hemorrhoid surgery in the comments but if you would like the ad to have a chance to be a finalist you MUST put a YES within your comment.
5. Regular ads are of course accepted!!
6. Official hem and haw rule. December already, really? I guess I should take the witches hat off my side door. I don't like to repeat holiday decorations, but one year on my side door I had drawn a gingerbread man with a bite out of his foot and he was saying "BITE ME". Another year I had an angry looking snowflake saying "FLAKE OFF". Then another year there was a Grinch giving the finger saying "GRINCH OFF". I'm thinking of drawing and coloring (I have a box of 64 crayons because I'm mature that way) a big xmas tree light bulb and have it say "GET LIT", or perhaps a breaking glass ornament saying "GET SHATTERED", or a mean looking elf saying "ELF OFF", or a candy cane with "GET CANED".....uh, i'm rather festively twisted....the man mail and delivery people enjoy what i put up though....
7. HAVE FUN!!!! That is always the most important rule in Vintage Ads!!
