WWI ad. People who serve in the armed forces swear an oath to the Constitution of the United States, not to an individual. They are not suckers or losers. If they become prisoners of war, it does not make them less of a soldier nor does it make them weak. Arlington National Cemetery should not in any way be used for political commercial purposes, that is akin to desecration of graves.
People who serve know there is a chance they might have to give their life. They are giving their life to what they swore to uphold and again that is the US Constitution. Not an individual. Our armed forces are not one individual's personal army.
Their service and sacrifice should not only be remembered today but on all days. Please do not forget the Korean war veterans, as that is known as the forgotten war. Also Vietnam veterans who the majority were drafted and then when they returned home were treated like absolute shit. To this very day many of them are still treated like that with denials by the VA for treatment.
MOD NOTE:
If you would like to try to limit what you see in the news the next 4 years here are some suggestions. Probably the majority of y'all have TVs. Undoubtedly many of you want to watch the news to know what's going on in the world. Unfortunately you will end up seeing and/or hearing about chucklefuck, no I just cannot and will not say the name anymore. If you can in any way limit the news you watch on TV I would certainly suggest that.
If you read online newspapers, if you can bookmark local news, or entertainment, or sports, as the homepage instead of the front page, that should cut back on seeing the orange clown in the national news.
If there are some online/TV outlets that are incredibly politically heavy you might want to consider cutting way back on them and/or stop watching them. There is going to be a sense of futility, in my opinion, because there will be nothing we can do. Nothing. I mean we could do a Nelson Muntz to his cult followers when they realize a lot of stuff they rely on is cut but that would also affect a lot of us too. There would be no schadenfreude there.
Personally I only had to remove BBC News from my phone and Twitter and don't have a TV. Because I really cut back on the news over the years. I have absolutely no idea what's going on in the city of Akron since about 2011 and I'm totally okay with that as there's nothing I can do about it.
Hiding chucklefuck from your news online:
I just found this, while searching for ways, you can read the thread below and perhaps it will work for you.
https://www.reddit.com/r/digitalminimalism/s/IyANf2RoEl If you use Chrome as your internet browser there is an extension. There very well might a Firefox extension too. It's really difficult for me to search for stuff on my phone.
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/trump-blocker/nhmckipmafnikgjnaeadpngccggobaej?hl=en-US Using keywords to block:
A lot of social media sites like: Facebook, Twitter, blue sky, I'm going blank it's early...let you create filters to block out words. You can filter out chuckle fuck's name, the emo hot topic little buddy he has, his cult name, and so forth. I did actually create a filter on Twitter a few months ago and it worked pretty well. I just don't want to be on Twitter anymore because Elon. I'm still going to log in once a month because I don't want to lose my account that I've had for like 17 years and I know there will come a day when he no longer owns it and that will be a great day.
If anyone has a problem with all this that is a supporter of chuckle fuck then you can take your racist, homophobic, misogynistic ass out of here. Seriously, get the fuck out. Don't even claim you're not racist. Don't claim you're not homophobic. Do not claim you're not misogynistic, is that too big a word for you? Do not claim you don't want to control women's bodies.
The armed forces fight for freedom. Not tyranny and a dictatorship.
