TRIP

I am so damn lazy. Yeah i know........many of my posts start that way. Anyway i do remember i wanted to post lotsa stuff. But time heels all and my memory is no exception.

Well i am back after a good trip. First i left for Kerala. The trip was quite comfortable cos i had some good company. Kerala was all green and cool with thick showers of rain pouring throughout. Had some good musical experince there and by that i mean listning to music in good speakers and jamin and listning to my cousin play his guitar. Kerala is always good for lip smakin beef and paratha and for the price of things when chip was just something you ate.

Over the weekend i left for Bangalore with my brother. The bus was quite comfy and we reached Bangalore early in the morning.

I can still hear the sound of my teeth crackling from nothing more than that morning Bangalore chill. For the first few days my stay at Bangalore seemed really boaring specially since i completed this pathetic (cos i thought it'd be intresting towards the end) book i was reading. Few days later i had a chance to get to the city. I had been to my brothers office, Yahoo!. It was really good. We headed for this pub called Purple Haze. The place is totally crazy. We stepped in when they were playing The Unforgiven II. The place rocks. They've got great music, awesome speakers and the videos too. The best part was, there hardly was a song that i did not know. We stayed till they stoped playin the music, thats around 11:00 pm. We spent almost 2 hours at that place, but sure as hell you dont come to reliaze that.

After Purple haze, we walked to Corner House. I have been to that place before and considering the fact that i hated what i had last time, i was'nt sure. But i convinced i did'nt try the right stuff. We had 'Death By Chocolate', which is some really damn good chocolate desert. After all that, we went back to Y! office, and took a cab and went home.

During my stay i also had been to the Lord Shiva temple near Kemp Fort on Airport road. I had been to this place before, and altough the place is quite good, its quite commercial. You even need to pay for entering inside, plus for all other things. My grandparents were although very happy cos for some apparent reason they could never go to the place even after being in Bangalore for long.

After few days, I was told about this food festival at Shiok. It was supposed to start at 07:30 pm. We were ready to reach on time. But we stopped by this place called Pecos, which is supposed to be the oldest pub in Bangalore. The place is quite small, they also play mostly MCs and not CDs, the speakers aint good either and you dont get anything but beer to drink, but there is some charm about the place. Pecos even play some real classical stuff and they have lotsa classical bands poster all over the place. After loading beer and some popcorn, we were off to Shiok. We got there by 08:00 pm, but it seemed to have just begus. When we got there, the place seemed too quite, too boaring, ofcourse it was a lounge, but my concern was everyone knew eachother, and i was supposed to be the only outsider. But with time, it got better. The 10 course meal and desert(Rs 300/-) was quite good, but what i liked the best were the cocktails, ofcouse you had to pay for it saperately. I had a Shiok Slammer and a Illusion, both were damn good. I also tasted 2 other cocktails which sure were not my fav. After it ended we headed for home.

Two days later i was supposed to leave and my grandmother started to feast me all my fav foods. I also visited my uncles office in Fraser Town. Visited JV nagar. And finally the day i was leaving i thought bout quiting fagging too. I had a fag at the airport which i thought would be the last, but no sooner did i reach Bombay, than i had my lips squeezed. The vacs were good and some how Bombay does not seem very energetic these days.
