From Whence Shall We Expect The Approach Of Danger?
I've been all over the place lately. Same locations, same people, new stuff. The amount of change is staggering, but exciting.
-Went out to Colorado a couple weeks ago, as I am wont to do. Spent some time with the regulars out in the Fort and also met a cool new guy in foxplay . Also got impatient and took an MSF refresher, so I'd feel more confident getting back on a bike this season. That all went well, with the exception of a lowside in the snow. No worries though. I tucked and rolled like a pro. Now I just need to buy a new bike and I'll be all set...
-Afterwards, I headed to Chicago to help darkwolph move his stuff into storage. This was accomplished in four days. Given the amount of crap that was inhabiting the house, I'd say this was quite an accomplishment. I needed a reward for completing said project. So....
-Friday night, I caught wind that tekfox was spinning a set at FCN. Though I'd decided not to go to the con, I felt that missing what would surely be a tremendous night of dubsteppin' would be a travesty, so we set out for one evening, did the set, and left the next morning. Because Tek is such a VIP. More of you bastards should show up for his sets...oh yeah...it was totally worth it. Even if it DID just sound like a bunch of whale noises...
-On the drive back, took an impromptu trip up to northern Michigan. Was nice to see a part of the country that I've never been to, since I always do enjoy traveling to new places. Even if they are in Michigan. At least it wasn't cold. So spent a couple days up there, and headed back to Chicago...
-Aaand flew from there to Charlotte, which is where I'm residing now, taking care of business for a few days. When I got back here I found out my Lexus, which had been parked at my place, was stolen. Oh well. Thing was a POS anyways, so no big deal. I got out of the lease on the condo, so I spent the past few days packing things up and loading them into a pod.
As for the future, I'm heading back to Chicago on Friday. Afterwards, I'll be back out in Colorado on the 20th to look at land, visit people, check out some new restaurants, that sorta thing. Looking forward to that...and whatever else the future'll hold. But for now, it's off to dinner.
