A Memo To: All Members
RE: Sign-Up Sheet Issue.
Dear Members:
First of all, I would like to thank everyone involved in our First Annual Membership Drive. I am pleased to announce that we have increased our original membership total of zero by 300%. This is mostly due to Alex’s hard work, but we owe you, the members, thanks, as well, so thank you!
It is also my sad duty to report an unfortunate issue with our most recent sign-up sheet. As most of you know, our club Founder, President and Director Emeritus, Alex Harris, is in charge of filling out the sign-up sheet whenever a potential member expresses interest in joining Alex’s Adults & Kids Club. He considers it vital to speak with any possible member in person so as to gauge their Kids-Fun-Enjoyment potential.
Without naming names or resorting to accusations, it is relatively obvious that one of our members did not follow this procedure. Rather than cause any further embarrassment to this particular member, I will simply refer you to Figure 1-A, a picture of the membership form in question.
I’m sure you can clearly see which member’s signature is somewhat different from the others. As I said, I’d like to avoid naming the suspected party so as not to embarrass her (or him).
We are obviously aware of the high level of interest in Alex’s Adults & Kids’ Club, and we understand people’s eagerness to be part of this organization. But the signup policy is in place for a reason, and we would appreciate full cooperation with our rules and regulations.
Hopefully, this memo has fully remedied the issue, but I would be remiss if I did not point out that any future violations will result in a revocation of all Lego privileges. In addition, access to the mini-foosball table will be denied until all paperwork discrepancies are corrected.
Thank you, and have an Alex-tastic day!
Sincerely,
Vince Harris
