The recent post by dear comrade fa_kot made me think of writing a letter to the UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon.
Such possibility exists, via the link
http://www.un.org/en/contactus/.
However, only 200 characters are allowed in the form they provide. Characters, not words. I sent my 200 characters allright, but here I would like to publish the whole letter which we wrote together with Leo.
Well then,
Dear Secretary-General!
It is my duty to condemn the disgraceful behavior of the delegations from the USA, European Union, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Costa Rica, who left the meeting room of the General Assembly during the speech of Iranian President on September 24 2010.
All that the president of Iran said is known around the world, and many citizens of the United States share this point of view as well.
Do you really think that people around the world have to pretend to be underdeveloped idiots and believe that kerosene burning in air, can melt the steel structures of skyscrapers so that they would collapse, turning into dust? Must they believe that the aircraft, which allegedly attacked the Pentagon, could somehow disappear?
The fact that the U.S. can cynically lie if it is in their interests, has long been known. Where are the "weapons of mass destruction" of Iraq, the pretext on which the U.S. attacked that country never caring about the UN resolutions?
In your speech on September 23, you said that the United Nations remained the indispensable global institution for the 21st-century. Who is the UN founded for? Who does it function for? And why must all the nations through the UN stand for the honor of the US, which in fact has no honor? UN should not lose its prestige becoming an obedient puppet of the United States.
Since the events of September 11, 2001 resulted in the tragic events worldwide, ending up in the killing of hundreds of thousands of people, I think that an independent international investigation into these events should be organized.
