OMARG PRON SEXKOREA!! ? =(

I just signed up to get a library card at the West Lafayette public library. w3wt! Free high-speed internet access when I need it 7 days a week when and if I need it while I'm in the village area.

Yesterday I had to work from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. As shitty of a shift that was already, it was made all the better by the fact that I had to walk to work. I thought "no big deal, I could always use the exercise." Hmph.

I took what I thought would be a shortcut and ended up out in the middle of the country somewhere. I had a cornfield on one side of me and a big lot to the other. I decided to cut through the empty field because I thought that it might be in the general direction of Speedway. The field looked dry from a distance, but I quickly realized that it was hella muddy and within a matter of minutes my shoes were thoroughly caked with mud. I continue on trekking along like the good lil' trouper I am until I FINALLY arrive at Speedway. Dead tired and NOT feeling like working a nine-hour shift.

I immediately had to take over the cash register because Chrissy wanted a break. Fine. No problem. 30 minutes later when she finally came back from her "smoke break," I informed her that I needed to go outside to use the hose to spray off my shoes. Big mistake.

I had mud from halfway down my calf to completely enveloping my shoes. I sprayed it all off with the high-pressure nozzle that we have, but the problems just started. I had to work all day with sopping wet shoes. Without socks.

I have blisters galore. My feet are STILL swollen. It gets better.

About 15 minutes before the end of my shift, a guy I know named Josh drives into Speedway. I told him that I don't have a ride so he said that he'd swing back by and pick me up. I wait and wait. And wait some more. Eventually it's 6:30 and I haven't seen him whatsoever. I call the apartment and of course, nobody answers the phone. (Although upon arriving back, Michelle says that she got home not too long before I did.)

There I am, dead tired, sore from doing all the bitchwork I had to do for the day, and I have to make the 30-minute walk back to the apartment. Grrrreat.

I finally get there, totally exhausted. I take a shower and lay down to relax and play some Morrowind. Mmm... Morrowind. I eventually got tired (which I think was around 10:30) and fell asleep with the Xbox on, like I normally do. =)

I was right in the middle of a rather cool dream when Michelle wakes me up. I have no idea where I am or what's going on for a good 10 seconds. I finally got my bearings straight and found out that Justin was on the phone for me.

This was at 1:30 in the morning.

He called and said that I was cordially invited to come hang out with him and Josh at Josh's new apartment. "Cool!" I thought. "Can I get a ride."

"Uhh... no."

Ok........

Eventually, after a good 15-20 minutes of bickering I finally agree to wake up, get up and walk to meet Justin. I was under the assumption that they were at Chauncey Hill. WRONG. After I finally meet up with him, I find out that they were already AT Josh's apartment and he lived in North street, which is all the way across the bridge into Lafayette. (For those of you who don't know the area, that's a long walk.)

After that, I get coerced into going to Village Pantry (which I learned was out of the way to Josh's) to get some food for Justin and myself. I didn't mind, but I really didn't want to walk because of my feet and the fact that I was sore and tired.

We leave Village Pantry and several blocks later we FINALLY arrive at Josh's apartment. We basically just hung out and talked about random shit, played with Josh's synthesizers (of which I am uberjealous) and crashed out. It was pretty late when we ended up falling asleep... around 6 a.m. or so. We all ended up waking around 11 and Josh dropped us off in the Village.

So far today all I've been doing is hanging out with the regular kids... Nathaniel, Libby, Aiesha, Justin, Libby's friend Mike (I think) and a few others. It's been uneventful, but the day is young. 4:17 p.m. to be precise. ;)

*crosses fingers*

I don't work tonight, so here's wishing towards a kick-ass night and a relaxing tomorrow.

Enough for now. Time to go back out in the "real world."

It's nice to have a life again.
