You dropped offline before I could explain things a bit better, so I will just do it here:
1. You don't speak to me online. Ever. 2. Even though you have a car and live a short distance away, you've never bothered attempting to hang out with me. 3. You haven't commented in my LJ in at least a month-and-a-half, if not more. 4. Since we don't know each other in person, there probably isn't a whole lot that either of us can gain from reading each others' LJ's.
-and the kicker-
5. You don't have me listed as a friend to begin with! How are you going to complain about me not adding you when you are guilty of the same thing?
Listen- I have no problem whatsoever with adding you to my friends list, but this time around I am going to be very cautious about who is on it and if I see anything that would make me suspect that someone is trying to fuck me over or in any way piss me off, they are getting cut.
Like I said on AIM, if you really want to be on my friends list, just make an effort to be a friend, even if only online. Until then, I see no reason at all why you should have access to my journal.
It's your call. If you don't want to be friends, that's cool. If you want to hang out sometime, just make plans.
