once again, i am just awed and amazed at how different we are...
i am Your COMPLETE OPPOSITE in every way, shape, and form..
((When other people are upset, you are able to think about the situation rationally, without getting too caught up in their feelings. ))
i find this fact about You weird, because of my high ability for "empathy", it's so foreign for me to see You taking things calmly, when others (okay, mainly me) are going crazy near by..
((At times you find it difficult to understand where other people are coming from, and wish they could just see things the way you do. ))
see, i never have this problem....i am able to put myself in the shoes of anyone...You call it "compassion"...i think of it more as sponging up others emotions..
remember what i told You about wearing my sunglasses on the subway in new york....
i did this for four bloody years, because once i look soemone in the eye, all these 'feelings' start coming...and i start being able to 'know' them...and what they have been through, and i likewise feel it rather intimate to be looked in the eye...
when others begin confiding their sorrows to be, i can actually -feel- it, and i become confused if the things i am feeling are -my- emotions, or stuff i just soaked in and off of the people i am close with..
the reason i mention this here and now is that we -know- we are complete opposites...we take tests like this that visually -show- how different we are....and i am forced to wonder why the practical, 'earthy', concrete, functional man would have any interest whatsoever in the depressive, irrational, romantic, day-dream believing woman....
Well, it's not that I'm not romantic, and I'm certainly prone to my bouts of day-dreaming. But yes, the test does show the fundamental differences in how we function as individuals, which on some level, gives us each a better understanding of the other. :)
see, that's exactly what i mean....You see it as some bizarre "good thing", and i see it oppositely...
You seem to think all our differences are 'good', opposites attracting and keeping things interesting, but i feel that because of these differences, i am severely misunderstood..
hehe, and you see it as some bizarre "bad thing". And you are no more misunderstood by me, than I am by you. Remember, just because I can see or understand something about someone, doesn't mean I'm necessarily going to agree with it - something I know that you sometimes hold true yourself.
Despite our fundamental differences in thought patterns, we seem to have quite a few similiar 'thought structures'.
